Making Smiles Brighter for all New Yorkers

DO YOU OR YOUR STAFF VOLUNTEER?

WE WANT TO KNOW ABOUT IT.

As the world has struggled over the last year to come to terms with the effects of COVID-19, “live” volunteer events have necessarily ceased to exist. Currently, the NYSDF Volunteer Registry is empty of new programs but that does not mean the Registry is no longer. As things improve, meaning the threat of infection and illness decreases and the potential for people to get back out there (safely, of course) to help others, we will begin to add opportunities to volunteer as we receive them. To those organizations which will be seeking volunteers in the future, please consider sending us your information so that we can help you recruit those volunteers.
You are no doubt familiar with the NYSDA Continuing Education Registry, which the Foundation administers. The NYSDF Volunteer Registry is a way for you to record the hours you (and your staff) spend volunteering your services to treat vulnerable populations. In turn, NYSDA can use the total number of hours its members spend doing charity work as quantifiable proof to our elected officials that the dental profession is at the forefront of helping to solve complex, overall health issues.
So post your hours on the Volunteer Registry – it’s easy, and each year, you will receive a certificate which you can post in your office to let your patients know about the amazing work you do for those less fortunate. It’s a great way to further show your commitment to professional excellence and the health of the public.

Do you need volunteers to help with an event in your office?
