"Our NYSDA  family has been severely impacted by  unimaginable tragedy recently  when Hurricane Sandy came ashore and wiped out homes and  businesses, causing enormous damage in all five boroughs of New York City, as well as Long Island and several upstate counties.    We have all seen the horrifying images of destruction and have heard stories of loss and suffering from our friends.  We have all  been shaken, and reminded of the fragile nature of the lives that we work so hard to create. 

At this time, it is appropriate to turn our attention to helping our fellow NYSDA members and all our dental colleagues recover their lives and livelihoods.  One excellent way to help them is to please open your hearts to all these dentists, including those of our membership in extreme distress, and DONATE TO THE 
NEW YORK STATE DENTAL FOUNDATION DISASTER RELIEF FUND TODAY."

We have raised over $440,000.00 and have sent out $315,000.00 to over 60 individuals.

As of late this afternoon, we have raised $418,912.44 for the NYSDF Disaster Relief Fund.

Early this morning we sent 32 relief checks, totaling $154,000.00.

As of this morning, we have raised $341,912.44 for the NYSDF Disaster Relief Fund. Of this, $2,861 was collected at the at the GNYDM.

Yesterday, we sent emergency relief checks, each for $2,000, to 13 applicants whose offices or places of employment were destroyed. 

**The New York State Dental Foundation acknowledges the generosity of the Greater New York Dental Meeting, which has greatly facilitated our efforts to raise donations for those affected by Superstorm Sandy. 

New York State Dental Foundation is a 501 (c) 3 organization.
All contributions are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law.
